CHILD SAFETY AT BLSC
All members require a current Working With Children Card.
At Beaumaris Life Saving Club, the safety and wellbeing of children is at the heart of everything we do. To ensure we maintain a child safe environment, every member aged 18 or older who is involved in club activities must hold a valid Victorian Working With Children Check (WWCC). This is a legal requirement in Victoria and also a condition of club membership.
Holding a WWCC shows your commitment to protecting young people and helps us create a safe and supportive environment for our Nippers and junior members.
How to Apply or Update
- The WWCC application is free for volunteers. When applying, make sure you choose Volunteer (not Employee).
- You can apply online through the Department of Justice website or collect a form from Australia Post.
- Once you have obtained the WWCC please send a copy of your card to beaumarislscmembership@gmail.com
